About us

The real story

We are a small team of professionals with a strong background in the building industry and a genuine passion for innovation. You will meet us at different stages of your project — from design and planning to structural work and site management. We stay hands-on, involved, and present throughout the process, because delivering a safe, engineered, and beautifully built basement requires real teamwork, real expertise, and real people.

After studying traditional basement-construction methods in depth, the idea for the under-garden steel-shell basement came to us about five years ago, just before the pandemic. But the idea did not stop there. We designed the shell, engineered the frame for different soil conditions, ran the calculations, and the results were strong. We built a website with realistic design visuals and a clear presentation, then ran Google Ads for almost four months. The phone rang nearly every day. People saw the concept and liked it. They realised that dry basements — with no maintenance, no pumps, and no fear of water ingress — could become a real possibility. If they needed more space, they could go down. They could create as much room as their garden allowed. Why move when you can build underground and shape the space exactly as you need it? Four months. Hundreds of site visits. Dozens of serious enquiries.

But the few people who were truly ready to move forward all asked the same question:

“Can we visit a completed project?”

And that was where ideas and reality drifted apart. It was the moment we realised that everything we had built — the engineering, the designs, the calculations, and the vision — was still only an idea. It was costly, and honestly, painful. We thought the project was lost.

Then, three years later, someone called.

And all we can say now is this: look closely at our story. We did it.

The steel Idea

For almost a decade, we studied the traditional basement-construction methods used across the market. We looked at how they were built, how they aged, and how they performed. The conclusion became clear: long-term performance depends on engineering the structure itself.

The proof already exists in the ocean. For more than a century, ships have crossed it, storms have tested them, and submarines have operated beneath it — all protected by welded steel shells designed to remain watertight under extreme pressure. No magic. No marketing. Just engineering.

So, we brought the same principle underground.

Our team has successfully built an under-garden and under-house basement using a Type B structurally integral system designed in line with BS 8102:2022 standards. The outer concrete, along with the steel beams and columns structure absorbs the compressive forces from the surrounding ground, while the internal welded steel sheets hull provides a continuous, impermeable barrier against the water table and migratory ground gases.
